UT v. Langford appears, and what others have to say about it.

Baltisk City (B.C) Tuesday, 23 February 2016-

“It’s times like these that the world will know the Triumvirate will not be reckoned with.”

-Lancelot Rice (Major Executive of the Universal Triumvirate)

Three days ago, His Excellency General-Secretary Dallin Langford was charged three separate counts according to the “arrest warrant” sent to the General-Secretary was:

One count of acting as multiple identities, as both “Emma Amtra” and “Jackson Cole”, a crime under 16 UTC §21, a class I felony.

One count of treason against the Triumvirate, in performing espionage counter to Triumviran interests on behalf of the Democratic Republic of Cinnamon Creek, a class I felony under Article IX of the Universal Triumvirate Constitution.

One count of releasing confidential information, i.e. the contents of the Universal Triumvirate Executive Branch, to people outside the country, a class III felony. ” – UT Arrest Warrant

“According to the quote above, Mr. Rice is seemingly trying stir anger against Dallin Langford.” said Minister of Health and Transportation Henry Chester, “If Mr. Rice and his fellow executives want to stir such angerness in DRCC than he is clearly wrong instead it would make more tensions arise with the Triumvirate. If he feels such a confident feeling of reckoning with DRCC, than the people will surely put the Triumvirate in it’s place and change that quote right around.”

A trial is to take place on March 2, 2016 concerning the matter.

… the people will surely put the Triumvirate in it’s place and change that quote right around.” -Henry Chester, Minister of Health and Transportation

A Sub-Committee has been formed to have a scheduled hearing this Friday and Saturday to investigate the UT’s jurisdiction over the trial and to investigate the General-Secretary’s role in the affair. As the defendant claims that it was a related-agent and not himself. According to anonymous sources, it is predicted that “the Major Executive will be most displeased with the hearings as he feels that the UT Supreme Court has more authority over the trial and not the committee.” Another source quoted, “A DRCC investigation, he says, is irrelevant to their Supreme Court.”

The Universal Triumvirate Chief Attorney Alexander Buchanan said, “The DRCC was the one that started the tension in the first place. As this is entirely a domestic matter, a UT citizen supplying information illegally to a foreign government, it is equally necessary for the DRCC to respect this domestic matter first.”

The Baltisk Journal Investigative Team was surprised about this comment, as he:

1.) The General-Secretary Langford announced that the XFIA agent has renounced her UT citizenship which means that the Triumvirate will have to extradite the person on trial.

2.) The Triumvirate apparently does not respect that DRCC is full control of the defendant and only DRCC can control that defendant.

3.) It is highly probable that the UT will try to drag General-Secretary Langford’s reputation and DRCC and it’s citizens through the “mud” and try to turn aggression against DRCC using various tools. Such as propaganda whether through newspaper articles to speeches from different executives in the UT.

As this is entirely a domestic matter, a UT citizen supplying information illegally to a foreign government [DRCC], it is equally necessary for the DRCC to respect this [UT] domestic matter first.

-Alexander Buchanan, Chief Attorney of the Universal Triumvirate

Minister of Justice and Development Tel Rise commented, “I believe that it is fair that His Excellency General-Secretary Langford to appear in a UT court as the crime did happen on UT soil. My prediction is that it will be mostly of a show trial and either way the UT will have it’s supposed revenge on DRCC. It is also know that [Major Executive Rice] he severely dislikes DRCC and especially the General-Secretary for whatever reason. I have seen the messages addressed to the General-Secretary and denounce them as it is slander and unnecessary and furthermore very unprofessional. I expect more from a leader such as Mr. Rice.”

Some representatives agree with most of the Universal Triumvirate claims to jurisdiction but they strongly disagree that the UT should not go to extreme punishment as sources in the UT know that the Chief Attorney will go to the maximum punishment as possible.

The XFIA Director stated, “That any information collected during [Operation NetRoar: the UT Intelligence Mission] the event was never released and stored in a collective file of Project UBO. The count of treason to counter Triumvirate interests, is vacuous as the agent involved was to collect information and do nothing to intently harm the UT. Sit and watch was my direct order to the agent.”

Major Executive Rice messaged General-Secretary Langford,

” …you are a disgustingly sick human being, but fortunately you’re also not that bright…”

Which confirms the theory of what analysts predict of Mr. Rice’s hatred towards General-Secretary Langford.

…Sit and watch was my direct order to the agent…

-XFIA Director

The international community has not responded to the affair and the reaction is predictably varied from disappointment to support of the General-Secretary.

More updates will be posted and news of the committee hearing will be posted.

Interview with King Connor Stumperth of Mallanor

Baltisk City (B.C)- (Recorded on Monday, February 15th 2016 by Baltisk Journal Investigative Associate.)

This evening, King Stumperth of the Democratic Kingdom of Mallanor has agreed to be interviewed by the Baltisk Journal concerning the upcoming 2016 Mallanorian Prime Minister elections that will occur on April 9th, 2016.

(BJ: Baltisk Journal and KS: King Stumperth)

BJ: Thank you, King Stumperth for coming and being interviewed.

KS: Pleasure to be here.

BJ: Now, are you excited for the upcoming elections?

KS: I am quite excited for the upcoming elections, as they are only the second in Mallanorian history.

BJ: Alright, and what do you expect to see from candidates who are running for Prime Minister?

KS: For this election, I am expecting many more great ideas than from the candidates last year. This is because Mallanor has grown significantly since last election, and much more still has to be done.

BJ: Quite right, Also who do you expect to see the most votes from electors towards?

KS:  I have no good estimates of public opinion towards any of the candidates, as they haven’t been announced publicly yet.

BJ: Now what significant issues have been an concern this year?

KS: From my perspective, the most significant issue in the past year has been organizing and implementing an effective system of government.

BJ: I see, and has citizens of Mallanor been satisfied with Prime Minister Michael Hinnebusch II’s work?

KS: Again, I have no good estimates of public opinion on this matter because we don’t conduct polls regularly.

BJ: Once the candidates have been revealed, do you think that citizens will pay more attention to the elections?

KS:  It has been my experience that public reaction to events is low throughout the year, including elections. However, election turnouts are always at least a majority of the population.

BJ: To follow up with the fourth answer; what effective system of government is being put in place?

KS: The system of government is a constitutional monarch, with a democratically elected Prime Minister and Parliament. The Royal Council is an advisory body to the King and the Prime Minister.

BJ: When do the candidates speak about their plan?

KS:  The candidates will publicly speak about their plans on March 19, during the debates that are planned.

BJ: What will the international community think of the elections?

KS: The international community was supportive of the last election and excited for the results, so I hope for the same this year.

BJ: Well, it’s time to wrap this up. Thank you again King Stumperth and we hope that the upcoming elections will have a fantastic turnout. More updates of the election will be covered as soon as they come.

KS: It is a pleasure…I wish you the best.

Topgrove-Civil Rights Act passes

Baltisk City (B.C)- Sunday, February 14th, 2016

Last night, General-Secretary Dallin Langford wearily signed the Topgrove-Civil Rights Act after the Communist-Social Party threatened to filibuster the Assembly if he vetoed the bill. After an hour or so of compromising and voting, a new bill as been formed from the original bill.

Minister Bella Topgrove congratulated the representatives voting for the act yesterday afternoon and commented:

It is a wonderful sight, to see Cinnamon Creek become freer than ever before. Instead of making this country a suppressive and conservative nation it has been a socially minded and democratic country instead.

The revised act will include:

  • Liberalization of LBGTQ Civil Rights, and recognize same-sex marriges, gender changing licenses, and practice LBGTQ “categorized” activities in public. An organization will be set up to handle marriage affairs and relay documents to the Ministry of Justice and Development and that hate crime laws will be included. The legal marriage age is sixteen for anyone.
  • Encourage minorities to join DRCC.
  • Religions can be registered to the Ministry of Interior.
  • Only one welfare program will be set up for LGBTQ and minorities that will take in a very minimal budget of 300 Cinnamon Rubles which will make the current welfare budget jump from 300 to 600 Cinnamon Rubles a year.

Other CSP officials and LCP officials were unavailable to comment at this time. Bella Topgrove has been asked to be interviewed by the Baltisk Journal some time this following week.

Loquntia v. Langford trial ends in victory for DRCC

A prizing winning victory for the Democratic Republic of Cinnamon Creek.

Daily Micronational

SUPREME COURT, LOQUNTIA – A landmark Supreme Court ruling in Loquntia has dismissed all charges against DRCC General Secretary Dallin Langford.

In the court’s holding, after a short conference between Chief Justice Norling and Solicitor for the defence Horatio Eden, the court held that “the territory of the DRCC is not a realm of R [Loquntia] because the legislative element… did not reach the quorum required on the question in order to cede” – the quorum being the six votes necessary to pass a bill of this magnitude, a vote necessitated by Article 3 of the Constitution of the DRCC, as per an amicus curiae brief submitted to the court by Universal Triumvirate Chief Attorney Alexander Buchanan.

Moreover, the court also acquitted Langford of the charge of illegal seizure in the case of the former KUR-Loquntian consulate, held in DRCC territory; “in the opinion of this court, the venue…

equalrights
Equal Rights Movement Symbol

Baltisk City (B.C)- Saturday 6, 2016

Last night, Bella Topgrove*, Minister of State, Sub-Committee of Civil Rights Chairman, and known Civil Rights activist and member of the Communist-Social Party has recently announced that members of the Communist-Social Party and the Civil Right Sub- Committee has pledged to further civil rights legislation in DRCC.

It is time to make sure that Cinnamon Creek is the freest of all! Not only will it make it a better community and people it will be a light to all countries in the dark.

-Bella Topgrove replying to the Baltisk Journal concerning the announcement

C.S.P Representatives in the Assembly have proposed a bill called, the “Topgrove-Civil Rights Act” which will be voted on according to the DRCC Assembly Law-Waiting List later this month.

The act will include the following:

  • Liberalization of LGBTQ Civil Rights, and allow same-sex marrige unions and that the state will make a Sub-Ministry of the Ministry of Justice and Development which will handle marriage affairs of the state and will set a legal marriage age to be married. More legal protections offered by the state.
  • Encourage more minorities to join DRCC.
  • Several laws that will grant minorities more protection from hate crimes and etc.
  • Have the Civil Rights Sub-Ministry of the Ministry of Interior do more research into DRCC, micronational, and macronational civil rights, LGBTQ rights, etc.
  • Offer welfare programs to minorities and other “suppressed” peoples.
  • Increase punishment for the those who express hatred or disagreement against minorities or “suppressed” peoples.

Researchers from the National Reserach Institute agree that if the act passes DRCC welfare budget will increase dramatically from 300 Cinnamon Rubles to 2,000 Cinnamon Rubles.

“The welfare program shouldn’t be expanded over night, a successful program needs to happen gradually. It will bankrupt the country if the state decided to pass the bill. I urge members of the CSP and representatives of the honorable Assembly not to pass the bill.”

Comments Henry Chester, Minister of Health and Transportation and Chairman of the Communist-Social Party

According to unofficial pollsters that it should be better that Topgrove compromise with her new proposed bill then hurt the unpredictable economy that Cinnamon Creek already faces.

More updates will be posted with more evidence.

The Situation at Our Door

Baltisk City (B.C)- (Recorded on Thursday 4 of February 2016 at the DRCC Government Skype Meetings Chatroom, General-Secretary Langford addresses the city committees and the Assembly.)

Your excellencies of the Honorable Democratic Republic of Cinnamon Creek Assembly, Committees of Dallingrad and Baltisk City, Honorable Comrade Commissioner Clarkston, and Comrades of Cinnamon Creek, it is an honor for the privilege of speaking to you this afternoon.

Several years ago, I was in third grade offered to participate in a special event, I thought it was a good idea to take my comrade’s advice on not going to the event. Just like several days ago a postponed bill arrived at my desk stating that I was to either sign or veto the Loquntian Territory and DRCC Commonwealth Act of 2016. Instead like my friend’s advice I thought it was a good idea at the time that is, I naively thought that it could solve the current problems in the country. Although on the contrary, I had certain doubts that something disagreeable was about to arise. The bill as I later recall felt like the Devil himself was demanding entrance on my door. Now like the situation when I was a little third grader, I would suffer the consequences of signing that bill into law, like how I choose not to participate in that event.

Now we face a new worry for this dignified nation, Loquntia has tried to stir up trouble for D.R.C.C and I can’t allow it to happen. Although I find hope as recently and eccentrically and yet expectedly King John I of the R.K.L has sued me for in the amount of the sovereignty and reign of and over the Territory of Cinnamon Creek on the grounds that the territory be a realm of Loquntia due to a variety of factors; including but not limited to your purported submitting statements to the MFA Department of International Correspondence; your purported self-proclamation as the Archduchy of Cinnamon Creek under the Loquntian Crown”

Whether or this may deeply affect the country I do not know. My conclusion based on this upcoming trial, is that it is most important to attend this event. If I win it will be a most political and moral victory for me and this stunning nation. I come to you as one man, representing the stake and integrity of Cinnamon Creek and I plan to come with the respect of all internationally and domestically. An international statement to all nations everywhere that a country’s sovereignty will not be dreaded down!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we may be at the interesting end of the situation and we shall not give up. We will keep fighting and never end and I stand by you side by side. We have the determination of a hundred nations, support of a breathtaking international community, citizens that have stuck with us to the very end! If I may say so we could and will win this legal and international battleground! A war of words, a war of actions, and at the sunrise of the country will settle the dust and we will come out as victors.

I will not apologize to Loquntia or for anyone, for seceding from the short life of living under the Loquntian banner as the Loquntian Crown tried to take our freedoms away. Whether in this life or the next, I can only apologize for my strong emotional language that was to harsh concerning the Loquntian Dispute thread on the famous and infamous MicroWiki Forum and seek forgiveness.

Comrades of this nation, I will not be a failure and this government will not fail. If we fall into the ashes, then we will delight in picking ourselves out of the ashes. International Sovereignty will be respected and we will gain potential international recognition for our fight to win this case.

This nation is a free nation and we will not bow our heads to another nation that is corrupt and delights in controlling their citizens. Thus, this moment represents hope for the future and I promote that we can not let us fall and climb up the hanging thread of this disastrous mistake.

May God please our country and bless this people! May we win this fight in arms banded together!
