Special Edition: Interview with Clayton Rice

BJ: Thank you for agreeing to this interview, Mr. Rice. Now you’re running for Senator, correct? What is some of your positions and goals for the Universal Triumvirate?

C: Well, I actually already won the race for the Senate, I think the official announcement comes sometime today. I really think that the Universal Triumvirate needs to move towards a period of economic growth via the private sector, and that’s what I’m going to try and help during my time as Senator.

BJ: Now there are two Rices in the Triumvirate now, you and your brother Lancelot Rice. What is your relationship with your brother who is the current UT’s Chancellor?

C: My brother is the person who I learned politics from. He’s 4 years older than I am, and he’s worked with a Senator and went to law school and stuff, so I’d like to think he’s someone who really knows what he’s talking about. I don’t agree with his ideology, but I can respect him for literally holding the Triumvirate together whenever it seemed like it was falling apart.

BJ:  Originally it was just your brother in the Universal Triumvirate until later, what gave you interest, of becoming apart of the UT?

C: I got old enough and decided I couldn’t let him run the tables in this new era of our history. Plus, you never know, I think that I may try to follow the career path he has chosen in life.

BJ: Lately events have been going on, what is your thoughts on international politics?

C: I don’t involve myself much with international affairs, but I can tell you this: the whole MicroWiki boycott is very intriguing. As a devout christian myself, I like to think that Markus only represents a very very small minority of people, and I must say I support my brothers decision to close the embassy on the forums. The website moderators have really just fallen flat when it came to Markus, and I’d go so far as to say it’s because of their personal views on religion as well.

BJ: What do you predict what the Rice Administration will do in the coming weeks? Do you think that international politics could affect Rice’s actions.

C: I think Lancelot is riding a wave of popularity unseen before in the Triumvirate, even more than Nathan Maine. I think he will get a lot of things done, but I’m most looking forward to seeing how he will handle making the new code of law.

BJ:  What do you expect of your fellow senators and the Conclave as they take their respective offices today? Do you think there will be any conflicts of interests?

C: I expect them to be professional and be somewhat productive, or else they shouldn’t maintain their jobs, it’s as simple as that.

BJ: What do you think of the UT’s current foreign affairs?

C: I respect my brothers position, but I’m afraid I don’t know too much to comment on it for official purposes.

BJ: As you replied to Question 5, a wave of popularity unseen before? Why do you say that?

C: I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like him. He’s a Progressive who can compromise and legislate for what he thinks is the best thing for the Triumvirate regardless of political belief. He hasn’t been in office long, but certainly there’s a feeling of immense popularity with him.

BJ: In the coming months, do you expect the Triumvirate’s population to get progressively bigger and a heightened activity rate?

C:  Absolutely. We’re at 13 citizens within a few days of us being active again, and over time I can certainly foresee us becoming a powerhouse unrivaled in politics.

BJ: Any final thoughts?

C: No, I think that’s pretty much it.

UT v. Langford appears, and what others have to say about it.

Baltisk City (B.C) Tuesday, 23 February 2016-

“It’s times like these that the world will know the Triumvirate will not be reckoned with.”

-Lancelot Rice (Major Executive of the Universal Triumvirate)

Three days ago, His Excellency General-Secretary Dallin Langford was charged three separate counts according to the “arrest warrant” sent to the General-Secretary was:

One count of acting as multiple identities, as both “Emma Amtra” and “Jackson Cole”, a crime under 16 UTC §21, a class I felony.

One count of treason against the Triumvirate, in performing espionage counter to Triumviran interests on behalf of the Democratic Republic of Cinnamon Creek, a class I felony under Article IX of the Universal Triumvirate Constitution.

One count of releasing confidential information, i.e. the contents of the Universal Triumvirate Executive Branch, to people outside the country, a class III felony. ” – UT Arrest Warrant

“According to the quote above, Mr. Rice is seemingly trying stir anger against Dallin Langford.” said Minister of Health and Transportation Henry Chester, “If Mr. Rice and his fellow executives want to stir such angerness in DRCC than he is clearly wrong instead it would make more tensions arise with the Triumvirate. If he feels such a confident feeling of reckoning with DRCC, than the people will surely put the Triumvirate in it’s place and change that quote right around.”

A trial is to take place on March 2, 2016 concerning the matter.

… the people will surely put the Triumvirate in it’s place and change that quote right around.” -Henry Chester, Minister of Health and Transportation

A Sub-Committee has been formed to have a scheduled hearing this Friday and Saturday to investigate the UT’s jurisdiction over the trial and to investigate the General-Secretary’s role in the affair. As the defendant claims that it was a related-agent and not himself. According to anonymous sources, it is predicted that “the Major Executive will be most displeased with the hearings as he feels that the UT Supreme Court has more authority over the trial and not the committee.” Another source quoted, “A DRCC investigation, he says, is irrelevant to their Supreme Court.”

The Universal Triumvirate Chief Attorney Alexander Buchanan said, “The DRCC was the one that started the tension in the first place. As this is entirely a domestic matter, a UT citizen supplying information illegally to a foreign government, it is equally necessary for the DRCC to respect this domestic matter first.”

The Baltisk Journal Investigative Team was surprised about this comment, as he:

1.) The General-Secretary Langford announced that the XFIA agent has renounced her UT citizenship which means that the Triumvirate will have to extradite the person on trial.

2.) The Triumvirate apparently does not respect that DRCC is full control of the defendant and only DRCC can control that defendant.

3.) It is highly probable that the UT will try to drag General-Secretary Langford’s reputation and DRCC and it’s citizens through the “mud” and try to turn aggression against DRCC using various tools. Such as propaganda whether through newspaper articles to speeches from different executives in the UT.

As this is entirely a domestic matter, a UT citizen supplying information illegally to a foreign government [DRCC], it is equally necessary for the DRCC to respect this [UT] domestic matter first.

-Alexander Buchanan, Chief Attorney of the Universal Triumvirate

Minister of Justice and Development Tel Rise commented, “I believe that it is fair that His Excellency General-Secretary Langford to appear in a UT court as the crime did happen on UT soil. My prediction is that it will be mostly of a show trial and either way the UT will have it’s supposed revenge on DRCC. It is also know that [Major Executive Rice] he severely dislikes DRCC and especially the General-Secretary for whatever reason. I have seen the messages addressed to the General-Secretary and denounce them as it is slander and unnecessary and furthermore very unprofessional. I expect more from a leader such as Mr. Rice.”

Some representatives agree with most of the Universal Triumvirate claims to jurisdiction but they strongly disagree that the UT should not go to extreme punishment as sources in the UT know that the Chief Attorney will go to the maximum punishment as possible.

The XFIA Director stated, “That any information collected during [Operation NetRoar: the UT Intelligence Mission] the event was never released and stored in a collective file of Project UBO. The count of treason to counter Triumvirate interests, is vacuous as the agent involved was to collect information and do nothing to intently harm the UT. Sit and watch was my direct order to the agent.”

Major Executive Rice messaged General-Secretary Langford,

” …you are a disgustingly sick human being, but fortunately you’re also not that bright…”

Which confirms the theory of what analysts predict of Mr. Rice’s hatred towards General-Secretary Langford.

…Sit and watch was my direct order to the agent…

-XFIA Director

The international community has not responded to the affair and the reaction is predictably varied from disappointment to support of the General-Secretary.

More updates will be posted and news of the committee hearing will be posted.
